Dr. Carswell graduated from Davidson College and The Medical College of Georgia. He trained at the University of Virginia and is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Disorders Medicine. He has practices in Charleston, SC at Roper Hospital, East Cooper Medical Center, and Vibra Hospital since 2004.
Jason Gunn M.D. graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2002. He completed Internal Medicine Residency as well as Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. After completing an additional Sleep Medicine Fellowship program at The University of Alabama at Birmingham he joined Charleston Pulmonary Associates in 2009. Dr. Gunn maintains board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
Steve Herndon M.D. is a practicing Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Specialist in Charleston, SC. Dr. Herndon graduated from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2004 and has been in practice for 12 years. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at University of South Carolina – Palmetto Health in 2007, and a Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship at University of Virginia in 2010. Dr. Rashad, M.D. is a practicing Pulmonary Disease Specialist in Charleston, SC. Michelle Young, PA-C graduated from College of Charleston and then attended the Medical University of South Carolina. After practicing as a family medicine provider for 3 years she joined Charleston Pulmonary Associates. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants. She practices at all three office locations.
Nicole Ferroni, NP-C is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner who completed her master’s degree in nursing from Purdue University Global. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the College of Charleston and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Prior to joining the Charleston Pulmonary Associates team, Nicole worked as an RN in the Cardiovascular ICU for many years and was a Certified Critical Care RN, where she worked closely with our team of Pulmonologist. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and has also maintained her membership with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Outside of the office, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as entertaining her friends. She practices at all three office locations.
Dr. Graham C. Scott, MD, graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1979. He trained at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and completed his Pulmonary Fellowship at the University of Kentucky in 1986. He was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Columbia until 1991 when he joined Charleston Pulmonary Associates. He is Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Sleep Disorders Medicine. He practiced at the offices of Charleston Pulmonary Associates in Charleston and Mount Pleasant and is affiliated with Roper Hospital and East Cooper Hospital.
